Meta’s Muse moves into small business, and it already talks to HighLevel

Meta’s AI agent can now connect to ad accounts, Pages, Shopify, QuickBooks and HighLevel in the US and Canada. Here’s what it does, what it doesn’t, and how to get your clients ready.

For your clients

Meta has launched an AI assistant called Muse that can look at your Facebook and Instagram results, your ad account and tools like your booking system, then draft plans and campaigns for you. It can’t post, send messages or spend money unless you approve it. If you want to try it, tell us first. We’ll set it up with the right access so your ads and customer data stay tidy.

Every Signal story ends with a plain-English note you can paste straight into a client email. No jargon, no hype, and always accurate.

Playbook FridayFor your clients

Google switched some of your search campaigns to a new setting called AI Max in September. It can find more searches to show your ads on and write variations of your ad text. We’ve checked what changed and set guardrails so your budget stays on the services and areas you actually want.

The Local SignalFor your clients

Google is starting to show ads inside its AI answers. For now these are small tests, mostly in the US. We’re watching your search terms closely so you don’t pay for clicks that don’t fit, and we’ll tell you if and when this reaches Canada.

Stack Check

HighLevel × Muse, what the connector actually does

HighLevel is now an official app inside Meta’s Muse. We read the release notes so you know what access you’d be granting before you click “connect.”

Verdict

Promising for owner-operators who live in Meta’s apps. Agencies should treat it like giving a new hire CRM access: scoped, logged and reviewed.

Disclosure: Stack Check may include affiliate links (placeholder). They never change the verdict.

The TakeOpinion

“Trust the auction, audit the invoice.”

None of this means the platforms are your enemy. It means the controls are moving from settings to evidence. Our view: your value to a local client is no longer “I set the bids.” It’s “I can prove what you got for your money.” Own the conversion data in the client’s CRM, reconcile platform-reported leads against booked jobs monthly, and run a holdout when the numbers look too good.

Platforms are automating away the controls we used to rely on. The agencies that win will be the ones that verify.
