Meta has launched an AI assistant called Muse that can look at your Facebook and Instagram results, your ad account and tools like your booking system, then draft plans and campaigns for you. It can’t post, send messages or spend money unless you approve it. If you want to try it, tell us first. We’ll set it up with the right access so your ads and customer data stay tidy.
The Local Signal.
What changed in search, social and AI, and exactly what to do about it for your local clients, in five minutes.
- Agency owners
- Local consultants
- People starting out
Built to be used, not just read.
What changed
Three to five stories from Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and the tools you run, each verified against the primary source.
For your clients
A plain-English note on every story, ready to forward. Look smart in your client’s inbox before they ask.
What to do
Two or three concrete actions. Checklists, not think-pieces.
One playbook
Every Friday: a step-by-step procedure you can run for a client the same day.
Your week, handled.

A taste of this week.
Microsoft’s ad platform (the one behind Bing) no longer lets new automated campaigns set a maximum price per click. Your existing campaigns keep their limits. For new campaigns we’ll control spend with budgets and cost-per-lead targets instead.
YouTube now lets you test up to three versions of the same video to see which one keeps people watching. If you’re making videos, we can use this to learn what works before putting ad money behind it.
The fine print.
How often?
Weekday mornings, about five minutes. (Cadence may start at three issues a week while we launch.)
What does it cost?
The Local Signal is free. A paid Pro tier is coming later; pricing hasn’t been set.
Who writes it?
The Marketer’s editors in Alberta, Canada. We read the primary sources and link every claim.
Are there ads?
Some issues will carry one clearly labelled sponsor. Sponsors never buy coverage or verdicts.
Can I forward it to clients?
That’s the point. Every story has a plain-English “For your clients” note designed to be pasted into an email.
