Editorial standards
The Marketer exists to be the source local marketers trust. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.
Sources and corrections
Every news story links its primary sources (company announcements, official documentation, court and regulator filings) and the reporting we relied on. We summarize in our own words. We never invent numbers, quotes or events. If we can’t verify something, we leave it out. Company-reported figures are labelled as such.
Found an error? Email [EMAIL]. Corrections are noted at the bottom of the story with the date.
Bylines
Stories are currently credited to “The Marketer Staff.” We will move to named editors with real bios. We never use invented personas or AI-generated headshots.
How we use AI
We may use AI tools for research assistance and drafting. A human editor fact-checks every claim against the linked sources before anything is published.
Affiliate and sponsor disclosure
Some Stack Check reviews may include affiliate links; if you buy through them, we may earn a commission. Sponsors appear in clearly labelled slots. Neither affiliates nor sponsors can buy coverage, change a verdict or review a story before publication.
Independence
The Marketer is editorially independent. If we ever offer services to the businesses we write about, we will disclose it on the story.
